Disrupting an industry at scale
A young fresh take on the tired group tour industry. Generating leads with stunning imagery, head turning discounts and inspiring copy.
Savvy travellers would enter into the giveaways, tag friends, forward emails and grow the audience pool for us. Meanwhile we retargeted the decision makers every click with informative content.
Working in travel during the pandemic
In 2019 China was the biggest selling tour TripADeal were offering. Needless to say, things didn't look good when borders started closing. Overnight 80% of staff were let go, with mainly the Logistics Team left to get customers still abroad home safely.
Luckily, I was the only employee who was chosen to work in the Marketing Team while the world closed down. Informing customers with official company updates, supplying our NRL partners with marketing material and working on completely domestic travel promotions.
Once things opened up for travel within Australia, the marketing team was back to full swing promoting domestic travel and group tours.
